The more I get to know Ann Atkin, the more I love her no nonense way of living life and blending that attitude with her business, Meth Mob. Share something about yourself that can’t be found on your resume.
I love spending time with my family, golfing and Lake Powell. Summertime is where it’s at for me. Maybe one day, I will hit a hole in 1 at Page, AZ. after I get off the houseboat while golfing with a few friends or family. I have 22 grandbabies and 6 kids after 27 years of marriage and would only trade off a few of those days
Who is/has been your role model/mentor? And what is one key thing they taught you?
I have had so many who have paved the path for me it is hard to pick out one. A big lesson for me that I will never forget is “would you rather be “right” or would you rather get what you want”.
If you could travel anywhere in the world – money is not an issue – where would you go and why?
I would go anyplace warm and by the water every January-February. The sun and the sea are pure relaxation and soul food for me. Blue waters… hell, I could live where they filmed Nemo. I want to go there. But first, a 10 day trip to the east coast to see as many historical things as I can in that time.
What is a motto or phrase you live and/or work by?
Attitude is everything! Where focus goes, energy flows.
Who is your must-listen-to or must-read author, blog or video blog? How do they inspire, motivate, encourage and/or help you?
I don’t have a favorite author or blog. I love learning from real live people that I am around everyday. There is so much inspiration and encouragement out there in my circle! What the hell is a blog
Any last words of wisdom to share with UTWNG members and future members?
Surround yourself with good people. Do business with people who do business with you. I believe we reep what we sow so be a good person and your life will be filled with good. Hate to use the good and bad analogy because it’s all relative. But, if you don’t want to be surrounded by a-holes, don’t be one!
